Fotola is an open source add-on to the Berylium content-management platform that enables an imageblogging community similar to Fotola.com.
The code is made available for use and redistribution under the terms of the GNU General Public License. A commercial version is also available without GPL restriction.

Want to run your own fotola server?
You can, but you will need to have some experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining an internet server. You will need superuser access on that server. You will find knowledge of PHP extremely handy. Fotola is released with absolutely no guarantee of support or warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Okay?
I will post more detailed instructions here as the project evolves, but this document describes the basics.
